Help Wanted for Tuesday Community Meetings

Reply To: Lee Zeltzer <lee.zeltzer@gmail.com>

Please note the name change, the time and the date are the same but I want to open the meetings to more than just English speakers. The total community needs the same types of information. I will be trying to encourage more Spanish speakers to come when the topics are relevant and can be presented in both languages. The people in the meetings are both locals and tourists. Based upon feedback I have received I am looking for speakers for Tuesday meetings. These are suggested topics: All things related to immigration All things related to legal issues All things related to real estate rental and purchases, what is different here All issues regarding construction techniques Culture of Panama and Chiriqui Pets, services for pets and their people Health care emergency and other Local Politics Water issues Farming both big and small scale Local foods, identify and how to use Panamanian Culinaria cooking like a local Tourist destinations in Boquete, Chiriqui and all of Panama Local non profits and charities who want to show how they benefit the community Local film makers who want to show films made in Panama about Panama Basic technology cell phone 101, computer 101, Internet 101, film making 101 Bird Watching in Boquete Hiking Boquete Fishing 101 and 102 and 201 etc please add or better volunteer to speak The criteria is 30 - 45 minutes of presentation without any sales pitch. You can mention your business and let people know what you do if they are interested in more information at the end of in a handout. Please do not ask for time to sell something. If you have a product to sell contact Vicky Phelps and rent a table. Thanks to the BCP we do have a DataShow so computer projected presentations can be done. Thanks to Lissy and other members of the community we can have bilingual presentations Thanks to Las Ruinas the first fifty people who pay the $1 admission fee will receive a $1 coupon toward a meal at Las Ruinas. Thanks to all the community these sessions provide valuable information I will be at all the meetings when I am in Boquete and will summarize and post a summary on either the same day or following day depending upon my schedule. As of now I have no plans to record the meetings. That might change in the future. I am open to all other ideas for speakers Schedules will be emailed and posted on the BoqueteGuide.com Each Tuesday there will also be a discussion of the speaker started on BoqueteNing.com to allow feedback and and conversation
