To: all English speaking parties who expressed interest in the aforementioned club.
Boquete's prestigious Cabalgata celebrating Panama's Independence from Spain will be held this Saturday, realistically moving off at 4 pm. from the area across from Old Amigos, now Church facility.
A large number of participants are expected as riders will be coming from surrounding areas due to the importance of this holiday.
At present there is a problem in that a "sponsor" for this event has yet to come forward. The "Sponsor" is an honorable position, the person who carries the banner and leads the parade throughout the town.
In the absence of such a person, Club de Caballo de Paseo de Boquete is taking donations towards the cost of holding this event via Milly Gonzalez, at her salon, or any club officer. A donation of any size would be greatly appreciated.
The individual(s) with the largest donation will have the honor of carrying the banner.
If necessary a mount(s) will be provided. Please consider helping!
This is a "teething problem". The Boquete Independence Day Cabalgata was a major tradition that fell to the wayside in recent years. Our public officials are now in support of continuing this event. It is a great way to celebrate Panama's Independence and, along with the National competition of bands on the 30th, has great potential for the future of Boquete.
Please feel free to call or email a reply if further details are required.
