We have outstanding news with regard to our venture to get a vehicle on the road for the Boquete D.I.P (Department of Investigations of Panama)! The Vice-Mayor has donated the most expensive part needed for the engine, $1800. With the remaining dollars we should be able to get this vehicle in excellent shape!
Junie, at Value Motors, will do a thorough inspection and provide us with the list of parts needed, and the D.I.P. will accompany us to the the locations where all of the parts can be purchased and we will supply them to Value Motors so they can be installed. Hopefully, we can even get new tires if they are required.
Once again, a huge "thank you" for all who contributed to this large undertaking. I will still be taking donations, just not renting a table at the BCP. If you should wish to donate, please email me at: PanamaGirl2@email.com or call me at 6959-4825 and I will arrange to get your donation somehow.
This upcoming week, it has been promised to us that Value Motors will do its thorough evaluation and I pray we have raised enough money to complete all repairs and even fill up the gas tank.....smile!
This could never have been accomplished without the generous donations of all who have given and entrusted us with this task to allow the investigative police to reach our outlaying areas of Palmira, Jaramillo, El Salto, Volcancito and the rest of the District of Boquete.
Again, a tremendous thank you from the bottom of my heart that you have contributed to this endeavor; I had almost given up hope it was possible to accomplish after this past Tuesday. People told me they looked for me and couldn't find me Tuesday. That is why I wanted a presence at the top of the stairs, but a person complained I was a "toll booth" as though I extracted money from those who wished not to give. Those of you who gave, gave to the entire community, again my thanks!
