[News Boquete] News from Spa Boquete

Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Clients:

A huge thank-you to all who wrote reviews for Trip Advisor this past year, not just for Spa Boquete, but also for all the other spas in the Boquete area.  I'm delighted and grateful that Spa Boquete has received its third-in-a-row Certificate of Excellence for 2015, with a five-star rating, based on 140 client reviews, the most recent of which was just posted yesterday, July 12.  Reading the comments posted on Trip Advisor's website will give you a good idea of what Spa Boquete has to offer that is unique in spirit and style among the many spa and massage services now available in Boquete.

I'm also very grateful that July 1 marked the start of my fourth year in the spacious, tranquil, and convenient coral-colored house across the street from the Oasis Hotel & Restaurant,  9 1/2 years of professional practice in Boquete, the perfect location for the spa services I most enjoy offering, and 17 years of massage training and practice.  I continue to maintain my U.S. National Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) and seek ways to help my clients enjoy their time in Boquete as we tend to body, mind, and spirit.

Spa Boquete remains a one-person boutique spa, at which I attend to all clients personally, one at a time, and with unique sessions inspired by my clients' wishes and that draw not only on my massage training but also on many of my other lifelong loves:  music, dance, exercise, and study of spiritual traditions and energy healing techniques. Equally unique are the products I've chosen and continue to discover, to make my work more effective and my clients' sessions more enjoyable, memorable, and healthful.

Among the newest additions, thanks to a recent trip to Boston, are the following:

1)  A treasure trove of new music, plus some hidden gems (literally, in a friend's attic!) by composers and musicians whose work spans decades and continues to evolve and delight spa clients and massage practitioners: pianist Peter Kater, German composer Deuter, and Native American flautist R. Carlos Nakai.

2)  Some of Shea Terra Organics' newest products for the face and body:  Argan, Zafran and Camel's Milk Face Wash and Creme; Kigelia Africana Face Wash, Gel and Face Creme with Licorice for natural skin firming without chemicals; Baobab and Coconut Water Face Masque, rich in natural Vitamin C; anti-aging Rose Hips and Carrot Face Creme; a special massage preparation for sore muscles, made with shea butter, eucalyptus and African Bushman buchu leaf essential oils, which I use for deep tissue massage; an aromatherapy massage potion with Ylang-Ylang and Jasmine that inspires memories of Hawaii and its night flowers.

3)  A special mini-facial offer, good until September 6, 2015, using two of Shea Terra Organics' most famous and effective products:  Rose Hips Black Soap Deep Pore Facial Cleanser (which also serves for this special mini-facial as an exfoliant and masque) and Organic Moroccan Argan oil.  This special mini-facial lasts for 15 minutes and costs $10.00, when combined with any massage or reflexology session.  So, for example, you can enjoy a half-hour relaxation massage plus the 15-minute mini-facial for $30.00.

4)  The cost of a 30-minute reflexology session is now $25.00, a $5.00 discount from the price listed on the Web site.  That time can be devoted just to feet, or focus on both feet and hands.

And then, there are the things that haven't changed:

I continue to use organic Jojoba extract for both relaxation and deep tissue massages.  This plant ester is excellent for skin and doesn't stain clothes or block pores.

Spa Boquete's prices haven't increased in 8 years.  They're listed, along with descriptions of the techniques and services offered, a map, and contact information, on the Spa's website, in both English and Spanish: www.spaboquete.com.  Included is a Pamper Package offer for clients wishing to combine massage or reflexology with a longer facial (30 minutes) and a variety of products.

With gratitude, thanks, and best wishes,
Kitzie McKinney
