I wish to express my sincere and overwhelming gratitude for your generosity today in contributing to the repairs for the under-cover police vehicle for the D.I.P. of Boquete!
Today, we were able to collect $952.73, a phenomenal total!
My apologies that I was not able to stay until noon as I had planned, but my husband was with me and we are both severely disabled, and just weren't physically able to hang in there. I hope to do better next time, but standing and sitting are incredibly bad for my back and my right leg. Soon I will have my operation and, hopefully, will be back to more of my volunteer work that has had to be curtailed.
It is my intention to be back next Tuesday to continue this endeavor! Though I knew so many of you who donated and those who wished not to, I want to apologize in advance if I ask for a contribution and you have already donated to our worthy cause.
It is our hope that Value Motors can perform the evaluation this week so that we have a firm estimate of the repairs. My husband is also a former mechanic and plans to look at the car this week as well. We also have had a generous offer from Caesar Sherrard to give the car an inspection as he has tremendous knowledge of vehicles as well.
Helping this area of the Boquete Police helps all of us! As a small city, not much money filters down to our little town from the police budget. The bulk of the money stays in Panama City with Colon and David receiving the next largest portions. What our little town receives is a pittance and we, as a community, need to help with our resources to be helped by the police.
