Celebrating a Month of Pilates with Gina Wong

During this month the regular Feldenkrais-Alexander Guided Movement classes show you how to glide from a Feldenkrais-Alexander Lesson to a Pilates Class (mat or reformer).  Developing your kinesthetic sense skills is the strength of Feldenkrais Alexander Lessons.  Pilates allows you to develop, strength, flexibility, balance, control, fluidity and alignment.  The schedule remains as usual.  Saturdays May 5 & 12 (10:00 am) the studio is hosting Mat and Reformer Pilates classes with Gina Wong from David.

You can check the regular schedule for Feldenkrais-Alexander lessons below.

For those new to Pilates here is some information from Gina Wong (contact info below):
Pilates is a movement system that uses a series of floor exercises to increase strength, flexibility, stamina and concentration.
  • It strengthens the musculature without increasing muscle volume, in particular the muscles of the abdomen and the back.  It not only strengthens the muscles of the stomach, but also their ligaments and their flexibility, developing more overall strength and agility.
  • It improves the flexibility of joints which help reduce the possibility of injuries.
  • It corrects posture, which helps to reduce neck, back and lumbar spine pain.
  • It helps increase range of movement.
  • Prevents back pain and promotes confidence.
