By now we are sure that everyone has heard that Amigos was hit Tuesday night by six robbers. They entered the restaurant approximately 11:45 in the evening, three wearing masks and with four guns. Apparently one of the three customers in the restaurant was relieved of a wallet and a cel phone and strangely, as far as we know, little of value was taken, for example cash from the main register was not touched. They made off with some alcohol and some cash. Three of the robbers (from David) were captured and are in custody while a full blown investigation is underway.
Alto al Crimen has been in close touch with the police investigators. We now
believe that this was a singular event and that no danger is posed to the
community at large. The police are to be commended for their swift response
and rapid capture of some of the perpetrators. We believe that the remaining
suspects will be rounded up shortly and we will post any new information on
