On Sunday, the 29th of April, we were able to sterilize another 84 animals in our small clinic located in the
Amigos de Boquete office; 67 dogs and 17 cats.
Thanks to all our volunteers who worked to make the clinic a success, the fabulous food-bringers without
whom we would famish, and to the collectors, both gringo and Panamanian, who bring in all the animals from near and far.
Once again, we had a low number of cats but we had a ton of dogs…literally! The combined poundage of the dogs that
we sterilized on Sunday totaled 2,204 pounds. Extra thanks to the "taxis" who carried these big fellas in and out of
the operating room; lifting tons of dogs is a lot of work!
Thank you as always to our wonderful vets, all five of whom drove in from Costa Rica to help us with the clinic.
It was a long day for them and we could not do it without their hard work and dedication.
And thank you to the community of Boquete for embracing Amigos de Animales and spreading the word about our clinics.
We have now sterilized over 4000 animals making our community a safer and more livable place to be.
Together we are truly making a difference.
THE NEXT CLINIC will be May 27. Please contact Giovy at boqueteanimales@gmail.com < font face="Comic Sans MS">or 6563-8686.
