Boquete Knit 'N' Knatter

Reply-To: Brandy Gregory <tnrnmsg@yahoo.com>

Boquete Knit 'N' Knatter is a charity knitting group made up of both ex-pat and Panamanian knitters. Using donated yarn, we knit baby things: blankets, caps, booties, and sweaters which we take to the Beatrice Kant Health Department (next to Romero's downtown) and to other clinics in the area. The nurses at the various clinics then give them to their Ngabe-Bugle clients when the mothers bring their babies in for check-ups and vaccinations. Often, these hand knit items are the only warmth and softness the babies have. We meet every Friday afternoon from 1 to 3 at the Handicap Foundation (Fundacion pro Integracion) in Alto Boquete, located about 2KM south of SuperCentro Ivan. We welcome new members!
