A Model for Panama

  Thanks to your amazing generosity Bid 4 Boquete 2013 has had its most successful year ever, distributing more than $71,500 dollars to ten different organizations. These very worthwhile groups whose logos are listed below are thriving in our community as a result of the help that comes from your Bid 4 Boquete donations.

After paying legal and governmental expenses and a substantial effort on our part, we hope to soon have final approval from the Panamanian government designating us as a charitable organization.   This has not been an easy task because we are considered a "horse of a different color."  Once we gain approval however, we will be able to issue receipts and donations will be deductible from Panamanian income taxes which is a real plus.

The greatest benefit however, has been the ability to affect real change in our Boquete community. Because of the hard work of all the volunteers, the amazing generosity of the donors and the huge numbers of buyers  our charities are able to  feed the hungry, educate the children, reduce the animal over-population, supply clean water, protect the environment and on and on.  In a very real way, your donations have allowed Bid 4 Boquete to touch the lives of so many people while at the same time creating the most desirable community in Panama in which to live.

Still, the need is great so we will kick off the 2014 Bid 4 Boquete fund drive on Sunday, August 4^th with a plant sale at the Chiriqui Storage Flea Market. We need donations of plants and plastic pots. Any kind of plant from flowers to vegetables to bushes, etc.

Then on Tuesday, August 6^th, we will have our first volunteer meeting of the year.  We need your help so please contact us for more information or to make a donation.
