I'm delighted to announce that Spa Boquete has received Trip Advisor's Certificate of Excellence for 2013. To the best of my knowledge, this is the only independent spa in Boquete (not linked with a hotel) to have received a Certificate. And I've long aspired - and worked - to earn it!
First and foremost, many, many thanks to the clients, new and long-standing, residents and visitors alike, who took the time and care to write the 90 reviews currently posted on Trip Advisor and to support the Spa during its 7 1/2 years of existence in Boquete. What a gift to be here, in such a special place!
I invite you to check out the Trip Advisor client reviews and, if you haven't already, give my services a try.
To celebrate and say "muchas gracias" to my clients, I'm offering the following special prices during the month of July:
Relaxation Massage, including my own eclectic blend of Swedish, LomiLomi Nui, Craneal-Sacral, and lymph drainage techniques for the face, and using pure, organic Jojoba extract, rather than massage oil:
$15.00 for 30 minutes/$25.00 for 45 minutes/$35.00 for 60 minutes/$55.00 for 90 minutes.
Deep Tissue or Aromatherapy Massage, using Jojoba extract and organic essential oils:
$20.00 for 30 minutes/$30.00 for 45 minutes/$30.00 for 45 minutes/$40.00 for 60 minutes/$60.00 for 90 minutes.
I studied Deep Tissue massage in Boston with Mary Gail Sullivan, a genius at using deep tissue techniques without inflicting non-therapeutic pain.
Foot Reflexology, according to the American Reflexology Certifying Board protocol: $25.00 for 30 minutes.
Luxury Spa Facial, with exclusive Shea Terra Organics or L'Herbolario products: $20.00.
I just returned from a continuing education course in Florida, focusing on massage for clients with arthritis and fibromyalgia, as well as techniques for massage using no oil and without the client disrobing. And I continue to study fascial release techniques with Tom Myers, author of Anatomy Trains and, in my opinion, one of the best bodywork professionals currently teaching in the U.S. By the end of July, I'll be offering special massage sessions based on this work.
Spa Boquete is conveniently located across the street from the Oasis Hotel & Restaurant, two minutes by foot over the Caldera River bridge and to the right. It offers personalized, boutique-style attention, a spectacular view of Baru volcano, a small, beautiful, hummingbird garden, a comfortable indoor waiting area, and free wireless connection from its patio.
