To US citizens in the Boquete area:
Due to a state funeral for a former Vice President of Panama, the US Ambassador has canceled her scheduled visit to Chiriqui. However, the Consular outreach services will still be available at the Panamonte tomorrow morning, Wednesday, March 23rd, from 9 AM to Noon.
The Consular folks will be able to provide Notary services, passport renewals, insert additional passport pages, and record births of new US citizens. They should also be able to take your questions about Social Security issues and provide an intelligent answer within a few days. They will NOT handle visa issues.
