Please consider a donation to Buenos Vecinos de Boquete this holiday season! Our all-volunteer committee is now helping to feed over 120 needy individuals and their families in the Boquete community. Most of our clients are elderly or handicapped, and your cash donation goes directly to our food costs each month. Irene the Book Lady at the Tuesday Market/Meeting is the go-to person for your donations.
Forgive this personal note, but last week as I was counting my blessings at the end of another wonderful year in my lovely home, surrounded by friends and contentment in our special little town, I reviewed three new Buenos Vecinos de Boquete clients, and tears came. Certainly our food baskets help..but most of us have no idea of the depth of poverty, loneliness and physical pain that exists right next door. Our Panamanian and indigenous "buenos vecinos" (good neighbors) deserve our assistance. Thank you for your holiday and year-round donations.
