Plastic Recycling

Reply-To: Tracy and Andy Hallen <athallen@yahoo.com>

I am pleased to report that we can now take plastic, but only PET.   PET is used to make clear plastic jars and bottles - water, soda, juice, nuts, etc.  You can tell if it is PET by looking at the recycling symbol, usually located on the bottom of the package.  PET plastics are #1 so you will see a "1" surrounded by the recycling symbol.   If the symbol is not there, it needs to say PET.

We appreciate your support and patience as we endeavor to make recycling a norm in Boquete.

Andy
