Fwd: [News Boquete] You're Invited...

To Our next gathering on 10/19, 10:30 am to 12:30 pm:  see below for location and directions...

This gathering will include:

1.  Artist Introduction:  Frank Abrahams, inspired by Jackson Pollack, will bring some of his work to share with us...

2.  Robyn will present introductory information on our Christmas Ornament Making Project, with templates we can use to prepare materials to use in our November Gathering to make these ornaments together.  Some of these ornaments will be used to decorate the Christmas tree we will have at our Juried Art Show in November/December.  In addtiion, this tree will be raffled off as an additional fund raiser for our beautiful library.

3.  Carrie will present an introduction to the "Split Primary Color" system, created in the 1980's by Michael Wilcox. She will teach an introductory lesson on this system in her workshop on Saturday, October 20th, in combination with a second class on Zentagles. The class on 10/20 will include an hour for new students to the Zentangle art form, then 4 hours of color theory, practice and application in Zentangle plus using shading in tangles for both new and returning students.
There are still a few seats available for this class...email carrie at carrie@carriefisher.ws for info or to sign up.

4. Out Artist Trading Cards for October are Magazine Collages...a really easy way for all to create these mini works of art...email this address if you would like more information about this art form.

This gathering will take place at OUR NEW LOCATION, generously offered to us by Robyn Cole, who is sharing her studio with us...

Directions:
If you are leaving downtown Boquete, go 5 doors past the new Library. The fifth building, on the same side of the street, is the yellow "own.boquete.com" building, Magda Crespo's insurance office (if you pass La Casona Mexican Restaurant, you are two buildings beyond the studio.). Robyn's studio is in the basement, on the right. There are stairs on the right side of the building leading down to her door. Please park on side streets, as we don't want to take away from Magda's client parking spaces.

Please join us for another fun play day at Artworks on the 19th...

Warm Wishes, The Artworks Board
