Invitation to a House Warming and Meeting World Travelers

Mark and Martine Heyer have been working hard the last year on a remodel in Palmira Arriba. The job is done and the house is ready for rent, but more important:

it's time for a House Warming - Sunday September 25, from 10 AM to whenever

You  and your friends are welcome to drop by and partake of some local coffee or better yet Price Bennetts Boquete microbrew beer and who knows what other treats. Please feel free to bring something or nothing as you wish and enjoy the view out to the Pacific. Take the opportunity to see this unusual "Panamanian/American Fusion" home before it is rented. If you haven't visited Palmira Arriba since the new road was finished, you will be amazed at how beautiful this area is and how close to town if you come via Volacncito Road.

Please do come say hello to the world travelers, Elsa and Olivier

This is also an occasion to meet an extraordinary couple of world-travelers, our house guests,  a lovely French couple who are circling the world on a tandem bicycle starting in France 2.5 years ago. Their adventures are incredible, just imagine starting in France and cycling all through Turkey, Iran, the Tibetan Plateau, China, Australia, etc etc. 24,000 kms later they have reached Boquete and are on their way south to Chile where they plan to ride horses over the Andes to Argentina. Their adventures and their insight into the cultures and countries they have passed through are extraordinary. Please come and welcome them to Boquete.

Directions to Sol Naciente, our house in Palmira Arriba:

From Boquete there are 2 ways to reach us:

1.     Go up Volcancito Rd –Bear left at La Estancia – you will find the NEW road, down and up and down and up. Stay on the main road past the school until you reach a flat spot with a large open grassy area on the right and encounter the very first 4 way intersection. The cross road is not yet paved and at the right hand side you will see a green building that is a billiard parlor. Here you turn left onto the dirt road and will immediately see a brick wall. Keep the brick wall on your left and when you see the gate (there is only one) enter and you have arrived.

2.     Or, start at the Plaza San Francisco - go up to Palmira Centro and at the bus-stop triangle take a sharp right onto the newly-paved road marked Palmira Arriba and follow the road through the lovely countryside until you cross over a bridge and then go up and you will shortly see the green billiard at your left.  Take a hard right onto the dirt road and you  will  immediately see a brick wall. Keep the brick wall on your left and when you see  the gate (there is only one) enter and you have arrived.

3.     Everyone is welcome to drop by and visit maybe for the first time the lovely area of Palmira Arriba.
