Traditional Zen Meditation

Reply To: David Samuel <david@entrepreneurmonk.com>

This email is a call for interest to start a meditation group in Boquete.

If you are interested in joining a group for regular sittings of traditional Japanese Zen meditation, please reply to express your interest. The dates and times will be determined as soon as a few people respond.

Traditional Zen is a silent sitting for three periods of 25 minutes interspersed with 5 minutes of Kinin, which is silent walking. More advanced practice periods are 35 plus 10 minutes. We will set the length based on the participants.

Instruction will be provided to ensure that we all follow the same practice for the sake of perfect harmony in the meditation.  We will unfortunately not have the koyaksu so do not worry about getting hit!

Private meetings (dokusan) will be available before and after each sitting or by appointment.

I have spent time in a Zen monastery in Japan and other Zen centres and so maintain the traditional methods.

Information about me can be found at  http://entrepreneurmonk.com/

Instruction on Tai Chi, Qi Gong and Kyudo (if you have the archery equipment) is also possible.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards,
David Samuel
