Christmas Messiah Sing-A-Long

ATTENTION:  Classical Music Lovers

Now we all have the opportunity to participate in a “Christmas Messiah Sing-A-Long”.  Set aside Sunday, December 11@ 2:30PM in the beautiful outdoor amphitheater at Valle Escondido.

Normally this well known musical Oratorio (1742) by German composer, George Frideric Handel, requires a full professional symphony orchestra.  We are very fortunate to possess an incredible recording (2006) directed by John Nelson (Conductor of the New Orleans Symphony).  The performance also includes an outstanding Illinois Collegiate Chorus/Alumni Chorus with four professional soloists.

Our function will be to embellish this pre-recorded celebration by “adding more vocalists”.  We will be joined by the UNACHI (University of David) Chorus and several local Panamanian church choirs.

Either you bring your own musical score or purchase a copy at the entrance.  A very minimal charge will be accepted to cover the sheet music, security, and custodial necessities.

Are You Interested?  How Many People?  Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass, or Guest?  Do You NEED Music?

Note:  Several local schools wish to compliment our event with their version of the Nativity setting.  REMEMBER:  December is Summer here in Boquete so you will need a hat, a bottle of water, and some suntan lotion to thoroughly enjoy yourself.
