"Everythings' Coming Up Chocolate"
G&K's House of Hope Inc., www.livingwatersproject.com, a U.S. non- profit 501 C-3 , and Rio Este Arriba, an indigenous community in the Comarca, will be the beneficiary of a Chocolate Cook Off/ Bake Off, November 13, 2011 at Las Ruinas Restaurant, so mark your calendar! Proceeds from this event will help to purchase a new Solar panel for this community that is needed to help supplement and expand the self sustaining income producing community projects here as well as other Comarca communities. The fun and food start at noon until 3PM with an entry fee of $5 that allows you to taste all the treats. There will be a big raffle to try your luck, and prizes for the winning contestants in 4 categories: Best Appetizer, Best Entree, Best Dessert and Best Table Decor.
There's no charge for your entry in the cooking contest, but you need to bring your own table, disposable plates, utensils, etc, please contact either Karen or Gene to reserve a spot. There's lots of good cooks and bakers in our community, so show off your best CHOCOLATE creation. For more information, please contact
