Hello Boquete,
We would like to announce the formation of a new scout troop, Los Quetzales 55 de Boquete, one of many troops in La Asociación Nacional de Scout de Panamá. Los Quetzales currently has 10 participating kids, all residents of Casa Hogar Trisker, but is open to any and every child in Boquete. If you know of children who would be interested, please contact us.
As a volunteer group at Casa Hogar Trisker, Helping Hands of Trisker thus far has provided all funding to form Los Quetzales and has purchased uniforms for our Trisker kids. However, Los Quetzales is looking for other sources of funding, in-kind donations, and community members who would like to be involved. For example, if a community member had a large piece of land suitable for a campsite for a weekend excursion, this would be an amazing help. Or if a local restaurant or store donated beans, rice, chicken or other food for camping meals, again this would be amazing.
The opportunities to be involved in Los Quetzales are vast and we encourage community involvement with our Boquete children! Please email us at helpinghandsoftrisker@gmail.com if you would like to get involved.
