Wake up Boquete....
there's a great Jazz&Blues festival coming your way!
Only three days to go but we've only sold about 50% of the tickets we need to sell to break even!
Wake up Boquete....you won't get another festival ever if you're not embracing this one.
Wake up Boquete.... and buy your festival tickets NOW!
Here's a truly incredible deal for y'all:
Craig Jacobs, owner of Las Ruinas and the Bistro restaurants has offered to further support the festival with a generous contribution of $ 5 for each ticket bought at the Bistro ($3 for each ticket for the Betty Bryant show at the BCP on Thursday, March 1st).
This means that you get your festival tickets for $ 5 less if you buy them at the Bistro ($3 less for the Betty Bryant show)!
Go get them tickets while they last!
It won't get any better than that!
We'll kick off the festival on Thursday, March 1st with a New Orleans-style street parade with the Smoking Time Jazz Club, an original New Orleans street band flown in from New Orleans. Everybody's invited to take part in the parade, with or without costumes. Throw mardi gras beads, dance in the streets and all….. This is going to be great fun!
We'll set up the parade at the BCP parking lot starting a 12noon (there'll also be face painters!), and then walk over the bridge to central park where we'll join the band who will take the lead. We'll then march towards main street, and up main street towards the Panamonte hotel. The parade will be followed by a garden party at the hotel with the Smoking Time Jazz Club, original New Orleans hurricanes and New Orleans style finger food….
Come all and join the parade! Let's turn Boquete into a small New Orleans y'all!
For your safety and comfort during the festival please observe the following guidelines for the open-air festival at the Valle Escondido amphitheater:
Since we're at an elevation of 3000ft, and it's summertime you should take great care of appropriate sun protection. Protective sun lotion, a hat or a small umbrella are highly adviseable.
- Keep yourself hydrated! You may bring a bottle of water, and there will be plenty of water for sale. Coolers will not be allowed in the amphitheatre.
- Food and drinks will be supplied by the Valle Escondido restaurants at very reasonable prizes. You'll support the festival with every purchase since we'll get a share of the income from food and beverages sales.
- Although we're in the dry season there's always the possibility of Boquete's speciality, the Bajareque. It's a fine drizzle generated by the clouds drifting into the valley which often creates beautiful rainbows. Evenings may be crisp and cool so bring a light jacket.
- Bring a seat cushion for your seating comfort. The seating rows of the amphitheater are covered with grass with a rim of stone in the front. You may also use a small, low-back folding chair for your seating comfort.
- Parking space at Valle Escondido is limited. Please leave your car in town and use our little street train which will be shuttling between the center of town and Valle Escondido.
- There's no restriction for taking pictures or videos but please don't obstruct the view of your fellow festival visitors.
- Please don't bring pets to the amphitheater.
- Don't forget to support the festival and take home memories by buying our merchandise. Please also take a look at the goods that our local vendors offer in front of the festival venue!
Have a wonderful time at the Boquete Jazz&Blues Festival!
