SUBJECT:        MESSAGE TO U.S. CITIZENS – U.S. Embassy/Consular Section Closing due to Holidays and Training

 

The U.S. Embassy Panama will be closed on Monday February 20, 2012, in observance of the United States holiday President’s Day, and Tuesday February 21, 2012, in observance of the Panamanian holiday Carnival Day.  We will reopen with normal working hours on Wednesday, February 22, 2012.

 

In addition, the U.S. Embassy’s Consular Section will be closed on Wednesday February 29, 2012, due to training.  There will be no visa, federal benefits, passport/services to American citizens, or notary services provided that day.  If you are an American Citizen and have an emergency, please contact the Embassy at 207-7000 and they will put you in contact with the appropriate officer.

ASUNTO:        MENSAJE PARA CIUDADANOS ESTADOUNIDENSES:  Cierre de Embajada y Sección Consular de los Estados Unidos Debido a Días Feriados y Entrenamiento

 

La Embajada de los Estados Unidos en Panamá permanecerá cerrada el día lunes 20 de febrero de 2012, en conmemoración del Día de los Presidentes, festividad norteamericana, y el martes 21 de febrero de 2012, conmemorando la celebración del Martes de Carnaval.  Volveremos a abrir nuestras puertas en horario regular de trabajo el día miércoles, 22 de febrero de 2012.

 

Adicionalmente, la Sección Consular de la Embajada de los Estados Unidos permanecerá cerrada el día miércoles 29 de febrero de 2012, debido a entrenamiento.  Ese día no se prestarán servicios de visa, beneficios federales, pasaportes u otros servicios a ciudadanos americanos ni servicios notariales.  Si usted es un ciudadano americano y tiene una emergencia, por favor llame a la Embajada al 207-7000, y ellos le pondrán en contacto con el oficial adecuado para atenderle.
