What: Mountain Yoga Workshop is a day long exploration of how we embody the physical, psychological and spiritual creativity that makes us each a unique being. It is a gentle approach to touching our inner Self and reconnecting to our place and path in the world.
Who: Bios of the 3 workshop leaders follow this announcement. An amazing pool of conscious talent to guide and support your exploration and journey.
The Day:

Opening Circle – breathing to quiet the mind and open to the day.

Yoga Flow – a directed Salute to the Sun to ground and enliven the day

Creative Visualization – a guided journey to bring greater awareness of Self

The Hidden Meanings – exploring what specific yoga poses may have to teach

Lunch – a vegan celebration of the Tastes of India.

The Medicine Way Trail Tour – explore the bioenergetics of rain forest plants. Learn how they heal through the synergy of their components.

Nature Meditation and Journaling – the mindfulness principles of Thich Nhat Hanh, Buddhist master

Pranayama & Mantra – bringing conscious breath and sound to the experience

Cost: $75.00 per person. Includes everything.
Bring your own yoga mat if you want, but we will have them here as well.
If you need transportation from Boquete, please arrange with us ahead of time.

Workshop Leader Bios:
Elizabeth Worley practiced as a board certified counseling therapist in the US for two decades. She was instrumental in helping to organize and fund emergency shelter programs for battered women and rape victims (REACH of Jackson and Macon counties), The Community Table (a food program to feed the elderly, handicapped and indigent), and the REACH Village (a transitional housing program for women leaving violent relationships).
She worked with both Western Carolina University and Southwestern Community College, in teaching and in development.
Her private practice emphasized helping people to access, celebrate and live their authentic Self. Always holistic in approach, Elizabeth incorporated creative arts, body work, and nutritional counseling into her work. She has been a semi-regular practitioner of yoga for 30 years...and always wants to do more, if only there were time!
Since moving to Panama in 2004, she has embarked on her own expanded and deepened journey to authenticity. A coffee farmer, an herbalist, an author...a healer, Elizabeth invites you to visit Finca Luz (Light Farm) and follow the physical and metaphysical paths that lead you to your inner light. Let it shine!
Dianne Heidke is a Botanist, Artist and Entrepreneur currently living and working in Chiriqui, Panama.
Originally from Australia, Dianne trained and practiced as a lawyer. At University she also developed her interest in plants and the health sciences by working with the leading Australian botanical research center (CSIRO).
In the late 80's, she moved to NYC as Creative Director with various Arts Management companies, including Columbia Artists and the New York Philharmonic. Dianne maintained a dual career as a professional artist while in NYC. Primarily a painter, she created set designs for film and theatre, directed art festivals, and designed many mixed media art installations. She has consulted on and produced numerous web sites for various Arts Literacy projects, including those implemented in conjunction with The Guggenheim Museum of Art (New York), The Wolfsonian Museum (Miami) and at The University of Florida. Dianne's art work has been represented in galleries in New York and Australia and she has shown extensively overseas.
Her botanical training came to the fore again when she consulted with English Maze Expert Adrian Fisher, to design and install huge hedge mazes at various locations in the UK.
Dianne moved to Panama in 2004. She opened The Zapadora, the first and only architectural imports center in Panama, developed the Tuesday Morning Meeting and Market for the expat community in Boquete and has written a book for potential residents of Panama entitled The Boquete (Not for Tourists!)Handbook.
With her partner, Elizabeth Worley, she is working to develop the Cloud Forest Botanicals project at Finca Luz, which features Medicinal plant tours, a rental cabana, and a venue for small gatherings. An eco/arts venue and gallery, volunteer opportunities, sculpture gardens and artisan workshops are in the works! Stay tuned!
Dina Ramaha-Pino Dina has been registered with the Board of Behavioral Science since 2006 with a masters in clinical social work. She worked as a psychotherapist in psychiatric emergency and with a private non-profit organization conducting individual, family, and group therapy.
Dina decided to get her 240 hour teacher training certification as a yoga instructor in order to help her clients better connect with themselves, especially those that suffered from severe abuse and neglect.
"I found that I had a better connection with my clients through yoga then I did through modern day therapy techniques. The deeper I got into my own practice and the more research I did I began to realize that the philosophies of yoga are the root of most successful modern day therapy techniques."
Dina, now lives in Boquete and brings the many beautiful aspects of yoga off the mat and into the everyday life of her students.
