[News Boquete] Boquete PhotoGrafía: Hair in Motion is...

...the title of the next photographic exhibit on display during the month of June at the Boquete Community Library.  Each month, Boquete PhotoGrafía, a newly formed group of enthusiastic photographers from this area, hosts the exhibit and features the work of one of the photographers.

Boquete PhotoGrafía's featured artist for May 31through June 27 will be Michael Moore.  Michael is an event, wedding, and portrait photographer with a passion for capturing the essence of a woman's beauty with his camera.  "Hair in Motion" is Michael's newest creative work, highlighting one aspect of a woman's beauty.  Down through history, hair has been tied to a woman socially and culturally.  A woman's hair has often defined her personality to herself and to others.  Her hair is often intimately tied to her feelings of worth, beauty, or attitude.  "Hair in Motion" attempts to capture the beauty of one woman's hair and how she visibly expresses her feelings with her "Hair in Motion."

The grand opening for this exhibit will be Friday, 31 May from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  Michael will be available to meet the public, explain the work, talk about photography, and answer any questions about Boquete PhotoGrafía.  Refreshments will be served. The exhibit is located next to the snack bar on the first floor of the library and is changed out the last Friday of each month.

Michael has been a professional photographer for approximately 20 years.  He was a photographer in the United States Air Force (USAF) back in the 1970s and is a graduate of the (former) USAF School of Photography in Denver, Colorado.  He loves to teach others about photography and how to make creative adjustments with Photoshop to achieve the best artistic result.

Michael lives a few kilometers south of Boquete and has been happily married to a Panamanian for 18 years.  They have 2 children who attend the bilingual school, Academia Internacional Boquete.

If you're interested in photography, please visit with us.  We meet every Thursday at the Boquete Community Players (BCP) building at 3:00p.m. Our meetings are open to all who are interested in Photography.  Newcomers are welcome.

Michael Moore
