"Coffee" will be the title of the next photographic exhibit on display during the month of September at the Boquete Community Library. Each month, Boquete PhotoGrafía, a group of enthusiastic photographers from this area, hosts the exhibit and features the work of one of the photographers.
Boquete PhotoGrafía's featured artist for August 30th through Sept 26th will be Ron Elkind. Ron has been a travel photographer and sailor all of his life and has traveled extensively all over the world, capturing it's beauty. Photography and sailing have been his life long passion. He spent many years sailing from Canada to Mexico, the South Pacific, the Florida Keys, Bahamas and throughout the Eastern Caribbean, photographing along the way.
The grand opening for this exhibit will be Friday, 30 August from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Ron will be available to meet the public, explain the work, talk about photography, and answer any questions about Boquete PhotoGrafía. Refreshments will be served. The exhibit is located next to the snack bar on the first floor of the library and is changed out the last Friday of each month.
Ron studied Fine Art Photography at the Delray Beach Center for the Arts at Old School Square during the last seven years, before moving to Boquete in October, 2012. Ron has displayed his art internationally and has had several gallery showings in Florida. Ron is the founder of the Boquete PhotoGrafia Club. He loves to teach and help others who have photography needs.
