"Amazing experience"

On July 31 2013 I wrote a review of the BCP production Proof. In that review I mentioned the five star masseuse Mark Perren Jones, I quoted Trip Advisor on the rating, I had no personal experience. As a local resident I rarely indulge myself in the pleasures of what a tourist here would enjoy. Today with a push from my friend Eva, I tried out a five star Hot Stone Massage.

Unlike the Trip Advisor reviewer who wrote this accolade, I have not travelled the world enjoying massages.

"During my working life I had the opportunity to travel throughout Europe, Asia, and the US and have had a massage and/or facial just about everywhere I have been. Additionally, I have been to several destination spas in the US and Mexico. What a surprise to find that the absolute best massage I have ever had was at Isla Verde..."

I have only had two massages in my life, so to describe my experience requires some separation of mind and body. My appointment was for 10am and I arrived on time to be greeted by Mark and Dayra.

The only tension I thought I had on arrival was that of removing most of my clothing, not something I usually do away from home. That tension evaporated when I relaxed on the massage table and Dayra covered me with towels and hot stones. The gentle heat through the towels was wonderful. Then the gentle yet powerful hands of Dayra went to work. She used warm lotions and strong, but gentle hands to take each muscle on holiday. This was a experience of warmth and pleasure, not erotic, not sensual but done with professional expertise and knowledge of each muscle group. One hour passed too quickly, the music, the hot stones, the total experience is one I need to recommend and repeat.

When I left I understood how tense I must have actually been when I arrived. As I write this two hours later I still feel the glow that was ignited by Dayra at Isla Verde Massage Center.
