The Bid 4 Boquete Foundation Council is proud to announce that the 2014 event grossed $103,582.98. With expenses totaling $12,336.76, the Council met on April 10 to determine distribution of the $91,246.22 net proceeds. It was decided that $81,000 would be distributed and $10,246.22 retained for future operations.
Of the $81,000, $54,700 was divided equally between the two major beneficiaries, Amigos de Animales de Boquete and Buenos Vecinos de Boquete. The remaining $26,300 was awarded in mini-grants in varying amounts to Fundacion Biblioteca de Boquete (the Library), the Volcancito Medical Mission, the Hospice and Healthcare Foundation, Fundacion Pro-Integracion (the Handicap Center), Fundacion Alto al Crimen, the Santa Lucia Kids Camp, the Colegio Benigno Tomas Argote Brass Band, the Boquete Knitters and Quilters, and the Boquete Artworks' children's art program at the library.
