[News Boquete] Mushroom Kits, Crawfish, and Raw Hide Pig Ear dog treats at the BCP

Are you hungry for something different?  Tired at the end of the day and don’t feel like cooking?  Need a taste of home?

 

 

 

Give us a try.  We specialize in preparing dinners that are convenient and delicious.  All of our meals are prepared then frozen.  Once you get your meal home all you have to do is heat it up!!  Very little clean up. 

 

Over the last few years we have become known for our widely diverse menu that changes from week to week so you will never get tired of the same old stuff.  Eat gourmet, comfort, Asian, European, Italian, Cajun, Indian, for as little as $4 per person.  You can’t even get a happy meal for that price!!

 

We also have many unusual items.  This week for instance we have Oyster Mushroom Kits available in a limited quantity…  Also we found CRAWFISH!!!!   Check out our crawfish menu item..  Our Vegetarian dishes are marked with a (V) and our Gluten Free items have (GF) next to them..  We will have scones and brownies at the table and as a surprise bonus we will have raw hide pig ear treats for your canine!!!  We have added 3 wonderful soups and some incredible new entrees.  A few favorites are back and we will make as much as our freezer space will allow.  Also we have a brand new menu item this week that will knock your socks off.  Check out our 3 Pasta Dinner Special!!!

My wife is the baker of our delicious breads and her time has become quite limited.  If you want any of the breads (banana, zucchini, pumpkin spice) please pre-order as she is currently making only what’s pre-ordered.

Entrees

 

 

Crispy Chicken  $8.00  Only 3 Remaining:  This delight has been marinated in a mustard, butter, and Worchester sauce then breaded with thinly sliced fried onion bits.  Baked to perfection to deliver a delicious and moist chicken breast.  Served with a side of tortiglioni pasta and topped with a roasted red pepper sauce..

 

(V?) 3 Pasta Dinner Special  $10.00  4 Remaining:  A gourmet touch this week comes to you in the form of pasta.  3 completely different types of pasta each with its own unique sauce and flavor.  First we have a porcini mushroom and cheese stuffed ravioli topped with a delicious mushroom gravy, next we have a 3 cheese tortellini topped with a Vodka sauce, and finally we have hand crafted gnocchi did patate.  (Potato pasta) tossed with our hand crafted meat sauce.  LET ME KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE THIS DISH TO BE VEGETARIAN AND I CAN EXCLUDE THE MEAT SAUCE AND ADD A VEGETARIAN PASTA SAUCE.

 

 

Chicken Lasagna  $9.00  Only 3 Left:  Try this chicken variation to the Italian classic.  Creamy, and filling this dinner will feed 2 – 4 adults.  Packed with amazing flavor this chicken lasagna begins with a hand crafted pasta sauce.  Lots of cream cheese and mozzarella are tossed with parmesan cheese and layered for a delightful dining experience,.  A small salad or soup completes this meal. 

 

Chicken Cordon Bleu  $9.00 6 Remaining:  The Cordon Bleu is back this week.  A nicely pounded piece of white chicken breast that’s been stuffed with gourmet Swiss cheese and Smoked Ham.  Wrapped and breaded this delicious dinner if pan fried to sear the sides and baked to perfection.  Served with a side of lightly steamed veggies and all is drizzled in a beautiful smoked gouda mornay sauce.  Feeds 2 adults

 

Mexican Chicken Burritos  $6.00  3 Remaining This Mexican Style Burrito is simply delicious.  Fajita cooked chicken breast mixed with smoked ham, a touch of salsa, cilantro, jalapenos, cheddar, and mozzarella cheese.  There is no rice or beans in this burrito and Feeds 1-2 adults.     

 

Baked Spaghetti $10.00  3 Available:  With just under 3 pounds this entrée is a meal fit for a party.  Easily feeds 2 - 3 adults and is a combination of Monterrey Jack, Mozzarella, and Cheddar Cheese mixed with our home-made pasta sauce and meat sauce.  Utilizing real house crafted Italian sausage and beautiful ground beef you will get several layers of delicious pasta, cheese, meat and sauce.  Bake and enjoy. 

 

Italian Pasta Frittata  $8.00 Only 2 Left:  Enjoy a real delicate taste of Italy with this Pasta Frittata.  Bacon that has been slow cooked and caramelized is the base for this frittata.  Sautéed mushrooms, black olives, caramelized onions, leeks, and fresh parmesan as well as mozzarella cheese are all tossed together with the bacon to create a pasta dish that pan fried and cut into slices.  Topped with our homemade pasta sauce and parmesan cheese this dinner for 2 goes great with one of our salads or soups.

 

Chicken Pot Pies  $10.00 (Regular Size):  This particular dish takes a lot out of us as it has so many steps that are crucial in making the pot pie simply perfect.  Starting with the most important part of all; the crust.  We hand make the perfect buttery and flakey pot pie crust.  Using 8 pounds of butter we make enormous batches.  Next comes the filling.  Carrots, celery, peas, and chicken.  All of which are cooked in a manner to bring out their delicious flavors.  The gravy comes last.  Nice and rich made with our delicate and stunning chicken stock.  Each pot pie will be an experience and will be worth the time and the wait.  It has been our most popular dish for over a year and it is now back for you to enjoy.SOLD OUT THIS WEEK  

 

(GF) Penang Chicken $5.00:  This wonderful Thai dish is back by popular demand.  This week we are keeping it simple.  No zucchini or tomatoes.  Evenly portioned chicken throughout and a mild to medium spice level.  So not too spicy.  (You can always add that extra kick!!).  As always we use  Fresh ingredients, bigger portions, and more chicken  Utilizing ingredients from our garden we are able to make the freshest red curry paste around.  Chicken Stir fried in coconut oil then slow cooked in coconut milk this Thai dish is a dinner for 1 and comes with chopped peanuts and sliced Kaffir Lime leaves.  Serve over rice,  noodles, or with potatoes.  SOLD OUT THIS WEEK

 

Chicken Fried Rice  $7.00:  Enjoy this tasty dish.  Stir fried veggies mixed with chicken and eggs and green onions then finally tossed with a hint of soy sauce.  Loaded with flavor and ingredients..  A great side dish or a great entrée.  Quick and easy.SOLD OUT THIS WEEK

 

(GF) Mexican Chicken and Sausage Street Tacos  $8.00   Only 3 Left: A wonderful taste of authentic Mexico.  Grilled chicken and sausage that’s been simmered in a tomato and cilantro salsa and wrapped in corn tortillas.  This Gluten free meal is then smothered with a red sauce and sour cream mixture and topped with loads of cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Feeds 2 comes with 6 large tacos.

 

Crawfish Etoufee  $10.00:  I can only make a few of this beautiful Cajun dish this week as finding the crawfish was not only a surprise but a rare treat. If your never had Cajun etoufee before this is the dinner to try.  A New Orleans staple and found in homes during dinner all across south Louisiana you will enjoy this blond roux based meal.  It’s unique flavor comes from its extraordinary spices and utilization of fresh herbs.  In its simplicity you will be fulfilled.  Feeds 2.  (LIMINTED QUANITITY WILL BE AVAILABLE.) SOLD OUT THIS WEEK

 

(V) Asian Egg Noodles with Veggie Stir Fry  $7.00:  This wonderful dish utilized zucchini, bell peppers, and onions all tossed in a bed of Asian noodles and drizzled with an olive oil balsamic sauce.  Garnished with toasted peanuts this dish is so yummy  SOLD OUT THIS WEEK

 

(V) Cheese Ravioli with a pumpkin cream sauce and toasted almonds $8.00  Only 2 Left:  A wonderful addition to our menu this week!!  This cheese ravioli dish is simply stunning.  Boiled ravioli (10) that’s been coated with our pumpkin sauce and cracked pepper.  Garnished with toasted almonds this dinner is out of this world.  Simply delightful..  Feeds 2

 

 

 

Drinks

 

Organic Ginger Ale  $2.00/bottle:  This home brew is just amazing.  Completely natural and healthy this carbonated beverage utilizes only raw sugar, organic ginger, yeast, and limes.  Great for an upset stomach, perfect for that mixed drink, excellent for a healthy soda.  Get your bottle thins Tuesday!! 

 

 

Sausages  1# each

 

Hot Sausage $6.00:  A delicate balance between chili and fennel makes this hot sausage a delicious addition to your ingredients.  Make spicy meatballs, pizza, lasagna, pretty much anything!!  Just cut off what you plan on using and keep the rest frozen.   

 

Country Breakfast Sausage $6.00:  A true breakfast classic.  This delicious sausage is perfectly seasoned with a touch of brown sugar and a delicate balance of chili flakes.  We use fresh sage and marjoram to give this great sausage it’s familiar flavor.

 

 

 

 

Soups  (feeling under the weather, try a soup)

 

(V) Italian Pea and Basil Soup $7.00:  This delicious soup starts with an amazing veggie stock then just continues to build.  Cream, roasted red peppers, peas, and basil give this delicate soup a tremendous flavor.  Simple and balanced this soup will satisfy.  Feeds 2 Adults SOLD OUT THIS WEEK

 

(V) Tibetan Lentil Soup  $7.00  Only 2 Left:  This Vegetarian soup has so much flavor and such wonderful balance that you’ll never guess it’s vegetarian.  A touch of cilantro, carrots, potatoes, and lentils make up the veggies but the real treat is the broth itself.  Our Vegetable stock is top notch.  You’ll love the blend of subtle flavors that resonate from this broth.  Absolutely stunning!! Feeds 2

 

(V) Curried Zucchini Soup  $7.00  Only 2 LeftGet ready for this creamed zucchini soup that is rich with flavor.  Curried veggies are pureed with our veggie stock and allowed to cook down.  Cream is then added to give this wonderful soup a creamy consistency.  A nice balance of flavor and a great side item or meal for those rainy afternoons. 

 

 

Sides

 

Mexican Cornbread  $6.00:  Buttermilk based cornbread tossed with jalapenos, olives, cheddar, corn and tomatoes for that added spicy kick and flavor.  Great as a snack or as a side.  Contains 6 portions

 

Cajun Potato Salad $6.00:  A classic simply never gets old.  Potatoes that have been boiled and seasoned are then mixed with pickles, eggs, onions, celery, mayo, and a touch of mustard.  This combination transforms ordinary ingredients into an extraordinary side item to any lunch or dinner.  Serves 2 adults

Cranberry and Orange Scones $1.00:  The scones are making their way back to the BCP this Tuesday.  Pre-orders will be available so let me know if you would like any.

Oyster Mushroom Kits  $10.00:  Have you ever wanted to grow your very own mushrooms.  I have cultivated from spore and prepared kits that are easy to use and fun to watch.  Each kit will yield over 2 pounds of mushrooms over a 8 week period and you will get to experience the wonderful world of mycology in the comfort of your home…  This kit includes the Phoenix Oyster Mushroom (Pleurotis Pulmonarius)..
