On Sunday August 30, Amigos de Animales spayed or neutered 233 animals, 135 dogs and 98 cats. This was planned to be a "small" clinic with 150 animals and 3 vets. But our friend Carmencita had different ideas. She bagged (literally, the cats arrived in coffee sacks – see pictures) about 45 animals and our small clinic turned into the biggest clinic of the year. Fortunately, we had Dra. Sandy with us as well as Dr Crespo from David so along with the higher number of animals, we ended up with 5 vets to get us through the longer than expected day.
We are blessed to have new volunteers who, together with our old hands, ensure that we get the job done safely. As always, both new and old, we have the best volunteers ever!
Our pot-luck clinics are going over very well; we will be doing it again next month. Thank you to all who brought food and many thanks to Heidi at Mike's for the pizzas.

DON'T FORGET!!!! The annual Amigos de Animales Venta de Patio will be this Sunday September 13 at El Cacho from 9 until 3.
The pick-up truck will be at the TMM one last time to accept your donations.
