The future of the Tuesday Meeting

Reply To: Hershel Stolebarger <mikey_hershel@yahoo.com>

I have been doing the scheduling and sending of the announcements for the Tuesday Morning Meetings for 8 years.  Suggestions of speakers come from many sources and I put it together.  The Tuesday Morning Meeting is a team effort by the moderators and myself.  I am resigning as soon as we have a replacement or on August 31st...whichever comes first.

I have enjoyed my small part in making this meeting work.  However, it is time for new ideas and leadership.  I will help my replacement for a couple of weeks and will then back away.  The new person or committee, with the approval of the moderators, can make changes.  I am sure that people think this effort is very time consuming but it really isn't.

There are many people in Boquete who help with different projects that make our community work well and attract so many wonderful people.  My feeling is that the folks who are giving now are not the ones I would like to see volunteer for what I have been doing.  I am hoping to attract people who would like to be more involved...perhaps a small committee...new volunteers offering new ideas and energy.  I am sure there are many ideas that would enhance the TMM meetings.  So my replacement needs to be open minded and willing to look for ways to make positive changes...and be willing to work closely with our moderators.

Would you be interested in helping with the scheduling and announcements for the Tuesday Morning Meeting?  Do you have a friend(s) who might be interested in helping you?  I would be pleased to meet you (and others) to discuss this possibility.
