Protests by non-citizens

Reply To: Renny Kranich <rennykranich@gmail.com>

In an email to the News.boquete readership, a plea went out to participate in "physical activities" to protest the goings-on at the Hot Springs.

Please publish the following:

Gringos from the U. S. doing as the email suggests, attending rallies and rabble-rousing is cause for deportation.

Attending peaceful demonstrations, is not recommended because the easiest way for Panamanian officials to deal with trouble makers is to seek a judgement from the immigration dept to authorize, deny or prohibit the entry or stay of foreigners in the country and order
deportation, expulsion.

They can revoke any permit of non-residents, temporary residents or permanent foreign residents in the country, pursuant to the Law.

Caution and reserved behavior is recommended.
