Wow! What a day at Las Ruinas! We had a huge turn-out, and a very successful benefit to help Buenos Vecinos de Boquete in our mission to address the issue of malnutrition and hunger in our community. We raised $1,313.80 in a matter of about 3 hours; what an amazing and generous group all of you are!
Our winners: Louie Hook for Best Appetizer (HOT, hot and hot! those fab stuffed peppers!)
Penny Ripple for Best Entree (Under duress, this lady came through with her Burritos)
Clare Edmonds and Martine Heyer for Best Desserts, a virtual tie. (Clare, thanks for always doing a Tres Leche
beyond compare, and Martine for your time-consuming and creative gelatos). Yummy!
Lauretta Bonfiglio for Best Table Decor (It looked so Mexican, as only you can pull-off!)
Lucky Winner of the Raffle for an overnight with wonderful food at Rancho de Caldera was Kathy Donelson. You and Fred are going to have great time!
Can't thank you enough...contestants, prize donors, the staff at Las Ruinas....but, most especially, the fabulous, rockin' Buenos Vecinos team! We ARE "the little charity than CAN DO." I am in awe of you, my dear friends.
