We're getting ready for the Mexican Cook Off on Sunday, July 24 at Las Ruinas; the fun and food starts at noon! Hope to see you there; it's a benefit for Buenos Vecinos de Boquete, our local charity that now feeds over 100 needy members of our community. An entrance fee of $5 gives you a chance to sample the goods and vote for your favorite. There will also be raffle for an overnight and dinner for two people at the fabulous Rancho de Caldera!
If you can't make the Cook Off, but still want to assist our efforts, you can drop-off non-perishable food items with "Irene The Book Lady" at the Tuesday Morning Market/Meeting. For August's Food of the Month, we're suggesting donations of beans and lentils in small bags.
Thanks for your generosity, and we'll see you at the Mexican Cook Off for an afternoon of great grub and fun friends.... OLE !!
