Hola to all who are excited about this day trip to the Nancito Petroglyph Park and the Las Lajas beach.
A couple of things -- first, the seat on the bus can also be reserved at the Bid 4 Boquete Table at the Chiriqui Storage flea market today. Gates open about 10 AM and lots of folks have expressed their intention of coming by and paying for their seat. Remember, we only have 29 seats.
Secondly, Professora Luz has added another highlight to the trip. Up the Nancito mountain, there is a mirador or lookout post, from where one can see the Gulf of Chiriquí in the Pacific Ocean. We will stop there for Professora Luz to relate the ngäbe legend of Rogara Meto or Go Caballero, a sukia or diviner whom the Spaniards put in prison in Remedios, but he had the gift of bilocation, and people would see him walking about Remedios eating bread which he would take from the stores.
Thirdly, we are working with Peter McNamee and his manager Liza to arrange lunch and perhaps pool privileges at Las Lajas Beach Resort.
