On Friday, March 15th, Boquete Artworks will hold our next gathering, and you're invited to join us as we explore The Principles & Elements of Design (which we will explore all year). In March we will be learning about Repetition and Rhythm.
The Artworks Board is delighted to announce the addition of Mary Ellen Watts as our newest board member in the position of Vice President ! We welcome Mary Ellen and look forward to her input and support in the months to come.
On Friday, 2/15 we had a lively and overflowing gathering as we learned about, discussed and showed examples of the Design Principle of Balance.
Linda Lane gave a wonderful & engaging presentation on the subject and we had lots of ATC'S to view and trade using Balance as the theme, as you can see by the attached photos:
Totsie Marine also brought in some wonderful weavings which she created with Balance in mind:
As mentioned above, we'll be exploring the Principles of Repetition and Rhythm next month at our gathering on Friday, March 15th. Mary Ellen will do a presentation of these concepts and all are invited to bring ATC's or any other art work they wish to show with these Principles in action.
If you wish, you may also revisit Balance...so ATC'S or other art work brought in can be either on Balance or Repetition & Rhythm...your choice.
And, as usual, you don't have to bring anything to participate...just come and learn with us!
We will meet on the 3rd floor of the library, Friday March 15th at 10:30 am until about 12:30 pm.
All are invited to join us. You do not have to be a member to come to our monthly gatherings, though membership does have great benefits, which we'll share again next month as we get ready to open our third year of membership in April.
We are very close to securing a new location to hold our classes, workshops & play dates and will announce the location and date of our next workshop, which will be on Zentangles, very soon.
