[News Boquete] animales clinic june 30

On Sunday June 30, Amigos de Animals spayed or neutered another 178 animals: 110 dogs and 68 cats. Watching all the volunteers work together as a team is a thing to behold.  Someone commented that though it might look like chaos, in truth Animales in action is a well-oiled machine in which everyone knows what they are doing and where they belong and how to get the optimal outcome for all the animals that are entrusted to our care for that day.

 

Anayansi Menendez and the El Oasis Hotel opened their doors to our vets and welcomed them as her guests on Saturday night.  They arrived at the clinic refreshed and ready to go after a good night's sleep and breakfast, all thanks to the generosity of our friend Anayansi.

 

We received a wonderful donation of 300 bags of dog food from John Mauricio Cardona at Importaciones Universo through the tenacity of Carol Cardinale-Santana and communication skills of Nancy Burgess. This donation allowed us to send much-needed bags of dog food home with our collectors and some of our needier families.

 

We celebrated Dra Chely's birthday with a cake (thank you Bert) and thanks to all our hard working volunteers and collectors we had another good day contributing to the general health and welfare of the dogs and cats of our community.

Don't forget that Kris Berg's party will be this Saturday July 6 at 1:00 at her Howling Success facility in Potrerillos.  This benefits the Amigos de Animales building fund and our Education is the Key program in the schools and promises to be a great time.
