In case you are a newcomer or having been living in a cave, you should be aware of the monthly Flea Market just north of Dolega at Chiriquí Storage! This has become a lively, all-inclusive first-Sunday-of-the-month event beginning at 10:30. This Sunday, August 4, will be a special day to browse the Flea Market's trash and treasures because Bid 4 Boquete will have the first of their plant sales to kick-off Boquete's largest annual fundraiser. In addition, Buenos Vecinos de Boquete, the worthy food charity, will be tempting your taste buds with pulled pork sandwiches, vegetarian chili, Sloppy Joe's, coleslaw, sweets and beverages.
Rainy season is a great time to get your plants in the ground! The plants available for sale include hibiscus, cane orchids, bougainvillea, Mandarin and Valencia oranges, heliconias, begonias, water hyacinths, coleus and more. Make a long lazy Sunday of it, and be sure to save room for tasty treats at the Buenos Vecinos canopy!
