As you probably know, Robert Shaw died unexpectedly last month. Robert was fairly new to Boquete but his support of the animals in our community was immediately and deeply felt through his generous contributions.
Robert suffered from several ailments and was very concerned that his beloved Sam, a street dog he rescued in Buenos Aires, would always have a loving home. A number of people, including Amigos de Animales, promised to find that home.
Unfortunately, Robert's house sold almost immediately after his death and the new owners are moving in on July 20. This makes finding Sam a home – foster or permanent -- a matter of great urgency.
Sam has a heart of gold. He loves people and is a quiet, respectful, and affectionate dog. He's used to being indoors but with access to a fenced-in yard.
Sam's only drawback is that he's not a cat or bird person.
We hope you can find room in your heart and your home for Sam. Please let us know if you would like to be introduced to Sam, either at your house or at Robert's.
