Below is an announcement about a public meeting. The public meeting announcement has already been published in several newspapers, and although not required I am also distributing the public meeting notice here for anyone interested in this topic. Both the English and the Spanish versions of this announcement are provided below. This meeting is required by the governmental agency named ASEP, which is the ministry that oversees public utilities such as telephones and electric service providers, etc.
The reason for this meeting is that I have requested Planet Telecom (an Internet service provider that is headquartered in David) to provide Internet service to my home, which is located in the El Santuario area of Boquete. To provide that service a 40 foot mast will be used to get the antenna above the trees that surround my home.
Attendees at this meeting will be required under ASEP regulations to sign in and present their identity cards (cedula, e-cedula, passport, or residency card). There is no charge to attend the meeting. The meeting is simply a public forum in which Planet Telecom will present the facts about the technology and this particular installation. Attendees will be allowed to ask questions AFTER all of the relevant information has been presented by Planet Telecom staff. Speeches, protests, alternative data, other information, debates, personal opinions, etc., are not part of this meeting.
Again, this public meeting is specifically for the purpose of information dissemination as required by ASEP.

A public meeting will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013, beginning at 11: 00 am at the BCP Theater & Events Center, which is located across the Feria Bridge in Boquete and next to the Oasis Hotel.
The purpose of this meeting will be disclosure of details about the construction of a 12.2 meter (40 foot) tower at my residence, the purpose of it, the characteristics of the equipment to be installed, and the relationship between emissions and the new technology.
All residents of the area of El Santuario area are invited, especially those who reside within a range of 100 meters from my residence.
Your attendance is very important, as this meeting is a requirement for the construction of this mast and antenna.

Los puntos de esta reunion seran la construccion de una torre de 12.2 metros en mi residencia, proposito de la misma, caracterfsticas del equipo a instalar, relacion entre las emisiones existentes y la nueva tecnologfa.
