On Sunday January 26, Amigos de Animales spayed or neutered 258 animals: 157 dogs and 101 cats. We had six vets working all day…and what a day it was!
Our volunteers as always worked long and hard. The new volunteers were a godsend, jumping right in and working alongside the veterans. Our collectors brought in 150 animals from far and wide – the message of spay/neuter is spreading!
The school worked out very well, the layout and the flow was well suited to our needs; thank you Carol and Yasmin for making all the arrangements.
Many thanks to everyone who set up over 2 days, worked all day Sunday, and then returned on Monday to take it all down…or any combination thereof. Despite the long hours and the pressure of working on so many animals in one day, spirits remained high and a we-are-all-in-this-together can-do attitude prevailed.
As we discussed at the TMM last Tuesday, volunteers are the lifeblood of any organization; Amigos de Animales is truly blessed.
The next clinic will be February 23; details will be sent out at a later date.
