I took a Zentangle class this past October from Carrie Fisher because I wanted to see if I could use Zentangle in journaling and working with sacred geometry. As a former educator, I found Carrie to be an exceptional teacher. The class was a “blast” from beginning to end and because of her teaching abilities, the time flew by. The handouts, examples, and Zentangle exercises were extremely helpful.

I came up for air three days later with several Zentangles in my pocket. When I looked at my work I never would have believed I could have accomplished what I did with just one class. Before this class I would never have used the word artist with my name in the same sentence.

I use Zentangle to enhance my journaling, scrap booking and, more importantly for me, in my spiritual work. It is a meditative form of art and I incorporate it to creatively express my beliefs through sacred symbols, mythology and so forth.
