Irene Haines is in the Intensive Care Unit at Hospital Chiriqui. She has endocarditis, which is an infection/inflammation inside her heart. It is causing an occasional irregular heartbeat. She is seriously ill. She does NOT need, nor can she have visitors. Gail Cody and I are going down there regularly to check with her doctor and to check on her.
If you want to, bring any get well cards to the Handicap Foundation in Alto Boquete or to the Tuesday Market. She cannot have flowers.
I will update everyone here and on Boquete.ning.com as her condition changes. Thank you all for your concern and caring.
