[News Boquete] BOQUETE ARTWORKS AUGUST 2015 GATHERING

Boquete Artworks invites you to our gathering this Friday, August 21^st, 10:30 am, on the 3rd floor of the Library. Thank you for your response to our survey. Those of you who responded confirmed that you are interested in instruction videos. We are happy to present an instruction video by artist Mike Rooney, an oil painter of Impressionist Country scenes. He paints plein air, and says, 'I love to go outside and paint in bright sunlight. The way it acts when it hits objects. One day it's a boat in a marina, the next it's an urban street scene with people and cars.'

In this video we will escape into the country side with Mike Rooney as he paints Rural Life in his well-known impressionist style.  This fun to learn technique can be adapted for almost all subject matters.  For those of you who don't know Mike, you're in for a down home, fun loving good time.

Do you have something to show and tell us about, perhaps a special art project you are working on, or some interesting art you found on the internet? New insight can be gained from another's perspective and we are all here to learn from each other.
