[News Boquete] NEWS FROM ALTO AL CRIMEN

THANK YOU, DAVID!  First of all, thanks to David van Harn who took over as our webmaster and site administrator. He has worked hard to review the database and also to identify pending email messages and answer them.  From now we have a goal of responding in 48 hours or less to emails (AAC.Boquete@gmail.com) and to  registrations or contact page inquiries on the web site (altoalcrimen.org).

GETTING THINGS DONE.  We have received a number of donations in the past two or three weeks and also received 20 new registrations for the Alto al Crimen (AAC) Hotline.  Rodny is continuing to handle all AAC calls.

DONATIONS.  We still need to "level out" our donations.  If you are registered for Hotline service and have not made a personal donation to AAC, please set for yourself a personal goal of making a donation of $20 or more this year and every year.  We very much appreciate our donors who make larger donations, but we need participation from everyone.

Donations may be made through David van Harn at his vendor table at the BCP Tuesday Morning Market.  You will find him on the back terrace under the big white Alto al Crimen sign.  You can also make donations by deposit at Scotia Bank in San Francisco Plaza.  The AAC account number is 850054030.  It is important that checks be made payable to "FUNDACION ALTO AL CRIMEN."  It is easier to be sure your donation is identified as being from you if you give your check to David van Harn at the Tuesday Market or to an AAC board member.

WE HAVE MORE BOAT HORNS!  David will have them available for sale at the Tuesday Market.  It's a good idea that your neighbors have a boat horn also.   They respond to your horn, and you respond to theirs.

HELP SPREAD THE WORD.  Though a lot of people come to the Tuesday meetings at BCP, there are still many who do not.  Our community is stronger and more secure when more people are registered for Hotline service and aware of other services from AAC such as our home security inspections.  Registrations can be made online at our web site (altoalcrimen.org).  Number plaques will be assigned after the registrant number is added to the database.  Plaques may be picked up at Mail Boxes, Etc. and the $10 plaque fee left there.

We are very pleased that we have several fine new public-spirited volunteers who will be helping AAC in various ways.

AAC thanks everyone for their continuing support and interest in helping our community work for better security for everyone.  Thanks also the the National Police who have been working hard to investigate criminal activity and to make arrests.
