Bid 4 Boquete is now accepting applications from charitable or civic organizations in the greater Boquete area to participate as one of our 4 major beneficiary recipients. Last year's 4 recipients each received $12,500 and the amount to be given to this year's recipients is yet to be determined but will likely be at least as much as last year.
In order to be considered as one of the 4 beneficiaries for Bid 4 Boquete, at least one spokesperson from your organization must prepare a short proposal to be presented to our Executive Committee.
The proposal should be both written and oral and take no more than 8 minutes to present verbally. The written proposal must be received by us at bid4boquete@gmail.com no later than thursday, April 5, 2012. The oral proposal will be presented to our volunteer meeting on Monday April 9, 2 PM at El Oasis Restaurant.
Most importantly, it should also:
- state with as much specificity as possible what you will use the funds for
- contain a resolution passed by your membership pledging to assist in the raising of funds including:
-- solicit businesses, professionals, and individuals for donations (cash, goods, or services)
-- serve as chairs of some of the committees
-- work as volunteers during the days immediately preceding, during and after the event weekend
in February 2013.
