Thank you Boquete for so enthusiastically embracing the 2012 Jazz&Blues Festival!
Happy faces all around, lots of positive energy, people having loads of fun, the musicians enjoying it as much as the audience, an absolutely outstanding after party jam on Saturday night, and someone in higher places holding back the rain until the very end of the festival…who could ask for more?
This was the Boquete community at it's best!
It was heartwarming to see everybody and everything come together to support and create the best music festival ever in Boquete….that's what everybody loves about our community! Our thanks go out to all who supported the festival, to the wonderful musicians, to all our generous sponsors and to our fantastic group of volunteers who made this event possible!
We had 48 musicians and more than 600 festival guests on the weekend, and (with some small income and expense items not tallied yet) it looks like we'll end up with a small profit.
Finally:
We brought the best of Blues to Panama combining it with world-class Jazz, we started a new tradition with an awesome, first-ever Mardi Gras parade in Boquete…..
and we'll do it again next year!
