Help us save the Boquete Jazz and Blues Festival!!
The 2013 Boquete Jazz and Blues Festival was better, bigger, gained National and International exposure but now…is in danger if extinction.
The originators of this incredible music event along with President Hans Lebusser, have stepped down leaving the door open to continue the tradition of what is now a World Class Music Festival.
A small band of determined local people have banded together to make the magic that had all of Boquete smiling and dancing happen again .
The "profit" from this years event went back in to the community via the Boquete Music in Schools program in the form of a check for $4,000
so…the coffers are empty and next years event will be built from the ground up.
If you believe in this event and the cultural dimension that it brings to Boquete, you can help make it happen. Needed are energetic people to give of their time, energy, skills and most importantly, money and sponsorships.
If you have business, planning, management, fund raising, or catering skills, a vehicle for transporting artists, or goods and services to contribute, please step forward and become a part of the 2014 Boquete Jazz and Blues production team. It wont be easy,
but sometimes if you want something to happen…. you have to do it yourself.
Don't wait until next year, do it now, call, write, contribute, sign up to volunteer!!
