The Boquete Jazz&Blues Festival Foundation is donating $4,500 to local schools!

 

The 2013 Boquete Jazz&Blues Festival was not only a wonderful music event (some say it was even better than last year's festival) it was also a financial success!

Thanks to our sponsors and thanks to the unpaid work of our great group of volunteers we are able to donate $4,500 to two local schools via our Music for Schools program in order to improve musical education in Boquete.

$2,750 will go to the school El Buen Pastor, and $1,750 will go to the Academia Internacional de Boquete (AIB) in order to further support their efforts to create a school orchestra. The AIB already received $1,100 last year.
