[News Boquete] Chiropractic is good for You

If you have been experiencing a dull headache for several days straight, or have been suffering frequent aches and pains, it may be an indication that you need to see a Chiropractor. But how do you know if you do, and what exactly does a Chiropractor do anyway? Here are the basics for everything you need to know about Chiropractic Therapy.

What is Chiropractic Therapy?

Chiropractic Therapy is an alternative system of medicine aimed at identifying and treating problems without the use of drugs or surgery.

Chiropractic Therapy focuses on the relationship between the spine and the central nervous system. If there is an issue with this relationship, it will affect your happiness, stress levels and state of health. The Chiropractic uses their hands to control the body and relieve any muscular tension. Chiropractors may also use acupressure and shiatsu massage methods to assist this process.

Chiropractors believe that the body has the ability to correct itself, and that a slight manipulation or adjustment is all that is required to treat many pains and discomforts.

Posture and Headaches

Chiropractors perform spine alignment techniques to relieve stiffness and tissue inflammation that may have occurred in your body from poor posture, car accidents, falling over or even sleeping in an awkward position. A Chiropractor can also make adjustments to your neck bones to help relieve headaches and pain.

Pinched Nerves

A pinched nerve is a condition in which the spine gets out of alignment because of pressure applied on its nerves, and is often caused by sudden movements causing the spine to twist. Symptoms include stiffness of the neck and back, pain in the arms and legs or numbness in the hands and feet. A Chiropractor will make subtle adjustments to correct the spine and release the nerves.

Associated Pain

It's perfectly normal to experience a bit of pain when having an adjustment performed from a Chiropractic Practitioner. Your body may be inflamed and swollen so there may be slight pain while your body gets rid of this stress. You should start to feel a great deal better once you have adjusted to the levels of therapy.

If you have acute or chronic pain that appears to be muscle or joint related, don't put up with it and consider chiropractic care.
