[News Boquete] Boquete Artworks Gathers this Friday March 21

Yes, It is that time again!  The third Friday of every month, Boquete Artworks gathers at the library to learn, share and meet new artists or anyone interested in art in the community.

This Friday at 10:30 a.m. on the third floor of the beautiful Boquete Public Library

Artworks is excited to present Sharon Little of the Canadian Conservation Institute.

Sharon Evelyn Little will discuss the basic principals of Cultural Heritage Conservation as related mainly to movable objects. Her career of 38 years has been spent at the Canadian Conservation Institute, Ottawa; the Centre de conservation du Québec, Québec City and just recently Queen’s University. Active as a volunteer, she was Coordinator of the Working Group, Legal Issues in Conservation, ICOM-CC, UNESCO, 2002-08, and actively fights to thwart the international illicit trafficking of cultural heritage. She is founding president of the Foundation Little/Ragusich for the Conservation-restoration of Cultural Heritage, Québec, Québec, 2006.

Participants are invited to bring reasonably sized objects for condition evaluation following the talk.

We also invite anyone to bring their art or creative endeavors for sharing and ideas.

We look forward to seeing you there.
